Hi! I’m Asiya and I started The Asian Bride Guide just after my own wedding three years ago. I searched high and low for the perfect Bride Tribe for our big day…however just one week before the wedding, I got the dreaded call from my hairstylist…she had to pull out. I was naturally anxious and upset that I wouldn’t be able to find a new hairstylist in time who would know and understand the nuances of Asian bridal hair and how it needs sit in a certain way for my dupatta to sit correctly. After many frantic phone calls to friends and family, I managed to find a wonderful hairdresser who was able to save the day!
Joyed and relieved, it became my lightbulb moment…if only there was a one stop directory for all things bridal…specifically for those of South Asian Heritage. And thus, The Asian Bride Guide was born! Planning a wedding is so much fin but can also be a tad stressful ( I had plenty of Bridezilla moments myself!) so our aim is to make is as easy as possible for you to find your dream Bride Tribe!
